Spend daylight chopping wood and gathering food to keep hunger up. Craft a basic axe and spear; at night stay glued to the campfire and never overextend in the dark.
Once wood is stockpiled, push crafting bench upgrades first to unlock better tools and build recipes. Faster tools compound every resource run afterwards.
The campfire is your lifeline at night — level it whenever possible (level 2 also unlocks the fishing chat code). Place shelves and crates and build a food buffer so nobody starves mid-siege.
Night threats ramp up here. Ring the campfire with walls, line attack paths with traps, and split night watch — one player guards while the other restocks.
With the base stable, explore systematically with food, weapons and light. Mark clues toward the missing children to set up rescue runs and late-game content.
A balanced default with no weak spots — ideal for learning the full gather-build-defend loop before specializing.
Built for looting and exploration efficiency — the natural supply runner keeping the whole squad stocked.
Healing and revive specialist. The backbone of any squad that wants to recover fast after a night siege.
Focused on food processing and hunger management — makes long runs cheaper and keeps the team fed on less.
Strong at traversal and map coverage — the pick for tracking missing-children clues and pushing into far zones.
Chops faster than anyone — the engine behind campfire and base upgrades that demand huge wood counts.
High-damage combat class for players who want to fight The Deer's minions and Cultists head-on instead of hiding.
The main predator circling your fire. Keep the campfire bright and walls intact, and never wander off alone at night.
Attack the camp in groups on a timer. Fight them through traps and fortifications — trading blows in the open gets expensive.
Walls won't stop it. It messes with your light sources — stay in bright zones and keep looking up during watch.
Charges straight at wooden defenses. Pre-reinforce weak fence sections before it picks a lane.
Dangerous away from the fire and lethal to solo explorers. Travel in pairs and fight them one at a time.
Do not engage early. With weak gear, use terrain and traps to kite it; a full squad with top weapons is the minimum for a fair fight.
Low individual threat but they swarm cave biomes at night. Bring a light source and don't corner yourself underground.
A night-by-night table of when each entity starts appearing and how spawns scale — ships in Phase 2 with the hard mode guide.
